Pierre Post 8 Teeners would drop its final game of pool play on Saturday as they lost 4-3 to Renner going 2-1 in the pool and finishing in second. However, the Teeners received the help they needed to make the wildcard spot and into the semifinals on Sunday.
Renner would strike first in the top of the first inning before Pierre would answer with a run in the bottom of the third as Hudson Stoeser singled in Carter Schiefelbein to tie the game 1-1. Renner would score two in the top of the fourth and Pierre again would have to answer with runs in the fourth and sixth with RBIs from Eli Anderson and Will Danburg. In the extra innings, Renner took the lead in the top of the ninth and Pierre was unable to answer again as they fell to close out Pool Play. Harrisburg defeated Brandon Valley later in the day to solidify Pierre as the wildcard team out of the three pools to play in the semifinals on Sunday.
Pierre will face Harrisburg at 10:30 AM on Sunday in the first semifinal game of the day.
