Sioux Falls East defeated Pierre 16U in the final game of pool play 15-0 as the season comes to an end for the Eights going 2-1 in the state tournament.
Sioux Falls East scored 10 times in the first inning as Luke Miller was tagged with seven earned runs on five hits and two walks as JJ Bucholz threw the next two and 2/3 innings allowing two earned runs and Max Hunsley was tagged with four runs, but none earned. Overall Pierre allowed six of the 15 runs to be unearned in the loss as they committed four errors. Bucholz, Colter Babcock and Charlie Simpson each had a hit for Pierre.
The 16U season ends at 15-13 on the year and 2-1 in the state tournament.
