Pitching Duel Gives Pierre Teeners Shutout Win over Aberdeen

Pierre Post 8 13U is now 2-0 in the state tournament in Brookings after a 1-0 shutout win over Aberdeen as Hudson Stoeser and Parker O’Bryan combined for the six inning shutout.

Aiden Bass had the lone RBI as he drove in O’Bryan with a base hit in the bottom of the second with two outs. Stoeser went five innings allowing just four hits, three walks and six strikeouts. O’Bryan got the three out save coming into the game with runners at first and second and nobody out in the sixth. Pierre had just three hits as Stoeser had the other single and Carter Schiefelbein doubled for Pierre.

The Eights will play at noon on Saturday against Renner in the final game of pool play as they look to advance to the state semifinals which will be played Sunday along with the state championship game.
