Pierre Post 8 13U team had 13 hits, 14 runs and rolled to a five inning win 14-3 over Harrisburg Maroon on Thursday in the first game of the state tournament.
Hudson Stoeser, Cooper Terwilliger and Parker O’Bryan each had two RBIs while Will Danburg had three RBIs as Pierre jumped out to a 6-0 lead through two innings. Stoeser and Terwilliger each had three hits to pace the Teeners. Bryant Zeeb went all five innings allowing just three runs, two earned on five hits with two strikeouts.
Pierre will face Aberdeen on Friday at 10:00 AM in game two of the state tournament.
