Post 8 16U Travels to Watertown to Begin State Tournament

Thursday begins the 16U Class A state tournament as Pierre Post 8 will travel to Watertown guaranteed to play three games in pool play.

The 16U team finished at 13-12 to close the regular season and will be in a pool with Sioux Falls East, Harrisburg Gold and Brookings. In the regular season, Pierre was swept by East in a doubleheader and lost a single game to Harrisburg, but did not play Brookings. There are three pools so Pierre can win the pool and advance or be the best second place pool finisher of the three pools to qualify for the semifinals. Pierre will face Brookings at 2:30 on Thursday followed by a 6:00 start on Friday against Harrisburg and will close out pool play on Saturday at 2:30 against Sioux Falls East. The semifinals are scheduled for 10:30 AM and 1:00 with the championship game at 3:30 all on Sunday. You can see a full list of the schedule below.
