The Pierre Little Leagues had a wild comeback in the bottom of the sixth in the final game of day one at the state tournament as Pierre defeated Rapid City Little League 7-6.
Kaden Goodlander had two hits but his second one drove in the game winning run to walk off a winner in the bottom of the sixth inning. Rapid City took a 2-0 lead after two innings but Pierre kept in the ball game answering with a run in the third and answered the two runs in the top of the fourth with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Porter Hunsley and Will Eilers also had two hits for Pierre as they combined for six of the seven in total for the day.
Pierre will play at 3:30 on Saturday against Sioux Falls for a spot in the state championship on Monday.
