Pierre Swim Team Competes in Bismarck as Season Nears State Meets

This past weekend, 10 Pierre swimmers competed at the 2022 AQST Summer Sizzler in Bismarck, ND. There were over 328 swimmers from 14 teams.

In the Girls 11-12 Division:

Evelynn Caveny: 200 breaststroke-15^th, 100 breaststroke-17^th & 50 fly-20th

In the Girls 15-19 Division:

Kendra Rounds: 50 fly-17^th, 100 back-17^th, 200 free-18^th, 400 free-18^th, 100 fly-19^th, 50 back-20^th & 50 free-20^th

Ella Ward-Zeller: 50 back-1^st, 50 fly-1^st, 100 back-1^st (SDQ), 400 IM-2^nd (SDQ), 200 back-2^nd (SDQ), 200 IM-3^rd (SDQ), 100 free-3^rd (SDQ) & 50 free-6^th (SDQ)

Michelle Weiss: 400 free-2^nd (SDQ), 200 free-3^rd (SDQ), 100 free-5^th (SDQ), 50 free-7^th (SDQ), 50 fly-7^th, 100 fly-7^th (SDQ) & 50 back-10th

In the Boys 9-10 Division:

Finley Ellwein: 50 free-1^st (SDQ), 100 free-1^st (SDQ), 400 free-1^st (SDQ), 100 back-1^st (SDQ), 50 back-2^nd (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-2^nd (SDQ), 50 fly-2^nd (SDQ) & 200 IM-2^nd (SDQ)

Benjamin Murphy: 200 free-1^st (SDQ), 400 free-3^rd (SDQ), 50 fly-4^th (SDQ), 200 IM-4^th (SDQ), 100 back-7^th (SDQ), 50 free-8^th (SDQ), 100 free-8^th (SDQ), 50 back-11^th (SDQ) & 100 breaststroke-11^th.

Ian Weiss: 200 free-7^th, 100 breaststroke-13^th, 50 free-15^th, 50 back-17^th, 100 back-17^th & 100 free-17^th.

In the Boys 13-14 Division:

Christopher Jensen: 50 free-11^th (SDQ), 200 free-15^th & 400 free-16^th

In the Boys 15-18 Division:

Nathanial Jensen: 50 breaststroke-14^th, 100 back-14^th & 200 free-14^th

Mason Ward-Zeller: 50 breaststroke-1^st, 200 breaststroke-1^st (SDQ), 100 fly-1^st (SDQ), 200 fly-1^st (SDQ), 400 IM-1^st (SDQ), 50 fly-1^st, 100 back-2^nd (SDQ), 100 breaststroke-2^nd (SDQ) & 200 breaststroke-2^nd (SDQ)

The next meet for Pierre will be July 22-24^th in Yankton for the 2022 Long Course State B Swim Meet. there will be 10 swimmers competing for their last chance to qualify for the State A Championship in Sioux Falls.
