PIERRE — The Pierre School Board is meeting tonight at the District Administration building. A busy two-page agenda greets the Board tonight, but much of that is included on the consent calendar for unanimous approval. Superintendent Kelly Glodt will make comments followed by Board members and the public before the Oath of Office will be given to Joan Adam and new Board member Jessica Lewis. The Board will reorganize for the year with election of a new president and vice president and assignment of Board members to committees. Final reading and adoption will be given to three student handbooks and handbooks for athletics and classified employees. The Board will consider adoption of the Fiscal Year 22-23 budget and will consider approval of the audit engagement for Fiscal Year 2022. Also on the agenda for action by the Board include surplus property, substitute pay, hiring bonuses for classified positions, an administrative rule waiver and resignations. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
