Trappers Begin Championship Series with Souris Valley

Tonight begins the Expedition League Championship Series between the Pierre Trappers and Souris Valley Sabre Dogs all at Hyde Stadium.

The best of five series will run through Monday playing every night with Sunday and Monday’s games being “if necessary.” The Trappers come in at 12-23 and have the home field advantage whether they end up as the home team on the scoreboard or not. Souris Valley though, with a 25 game winning streak is at 29-1 on the season and have not lost since June 1. The two teams have played 10 times with the Sabre Dogs winning all 10 games by a combined score of 130-14. That’s a run differential of 116. The Sabre Dogs have broken many of the Expedition League records this year in just 30 games and will be looking to be the only back-to-back champion in Expedition League history.

Game one first pitch from Hyde Stadium is scheduled for 6:35 tonight.
