FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission is holding a Thursday night meeting tonight. Commissioners will meet with Register of Deeds Patti Duffy regarding a mircoflim project, electronic back-up with E-Share Secure and a scanner. Director of Equalization Tracy Schmitt will meet with Commissioners to consider two plats and a pay raise for Planning and Zoning board members. Commissioners will discuss a smoldering waste burn pile in the County and talk with Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal about the recent rodeos at the Fairgrounds. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith is on the agenda to discuss a fuel tank and resignation. The Commission will also consider the resignation of Treasurer Peggy Dougherty and the hiring of Kaylee Green as Deputy Treasurer. County employee health insurance, automatic budget supplements, a raffle request and an executive session for personnel will close out the meeting for the Stanley County Commission. They meet tonight at five PM in the Stanley County Courthouse in Fort Pierre.
