Announced on the Pierre Trappers Facebook page on Tuesday, the Expedition League Championship Series is set with every game of the best-of-five in Pierre at Hyde Stadium.
Beginning on Thursday, the Trappers will face the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs for the Expedition League Championship as first pitch is scheduled for 6:35. Friday and Saturday’s games which will for sure be played is also scheduled for a 6:35 start time. Sunday’s contest, game four which will be the first of two “if necessary” games will begin at 5:35 and Monday’s game five will have a 6:35 first pitch.
The Trappers finished the season 12-23 while the Sabre Dogs went 29-1 and won 25 in a row to close out the regular season. They only lost 5-2 back on June 1 to the Red River Pilots. The Trappers have the fortune to have home field advantage with the Sabre Dogs clearly having the better record.
First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 6:35 at Hyde Stadium.
