PIERRE — A California man wanted on murder charges in his home state has been arrested in Pierre. Pierre Police Captain Bryan Walz says 41 year-old Bryan Parker of San Diego was taken into custody following the service of an arrest warrant in the 200 block of North Euclid Avenue just before 10 am Tuesday morning. Walz says Parker was staying at a residence in the area. The City of San Diego issued the arrest warrant for Parker in relation to a recent homicide there. Parker was taken into custody without incident by the Central South Dakota SWAT Team, containing member of the Pierre Police and Hughes County Sheriff. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation assisted with the takedown of Parker. Traffic on Euclid was stopped for a short time during the execution of the arrest warrant.
