Pierre Post 8 gets a chance to play the same team they split a doubleheader against less than a week ago as they host Mitchell on Tuesday at Hyde Stadium.
The teams split the games last Wednesday in Mitchell with the Eights taking game one winning 14-11, but along with a lengthy weather delay, Mitchell beat Pierre in game two 9-4. Today the Eights will be looking for two big wins with a lot of seed points on the line and the season starting to wind down. Pierre will have seven more South Dakota games left after today and the Eights want to start these final nine games at 2-0, especially before Post 22 is in town for a single game on Wednesday.
Peyton Zabel, assistant coach for Post 8, says Mitchell has some solid pieces throughout their lineup…
Zabel says they want to look at what they did well against Mitchell…
After the losses on Friday, Zabel says they need to compete better tonight…
Coverage of the doubleheader will begin at 4:45 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with first pitch at 5:00 with Jon Winkler on the call.
