Trappers Fall in Series Finale with North Iowa

The Pierre Trappers fell Sunday evening to the North Iowa Ragin’ Roosters losing three of four on the road with a 10-2 loss.

The Trappers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with an RBI ground out by Antony Barraza. However, the Ragin’ Roosters tied the game in the third and took a 2-1 lead in the fourth before adding five runs in the bottom of the fifth to extend the lead to 7-1. Hunter Brown made it a 7-2 ballgame in the top of the eighth with a sacrifice fly but it was all the Trappers could push across as they had just three hits in the game.

The Trappers will be off now until Thursday when they return home for a couple of doubleheaders after the Red River Pilots disbanded at the end of last week. KCCR Sports will have more Tuesday morning.
