Offense Keeps Firing as Pierre Defeat Minot

Thursday evening, Pierre Post 8 scored another 10 plus runs to win 13-7 over the Minot Vistas in a single game at Hyde Stadium.

It’s the fourth game in the last six where Pierre has scored 10 runs or more and are 4-0 in those games. Pierre took advantage of 10 walks including four in the first inning as Pierre took a 5-0 lead and never surrendered it. Matt Hanson drove in a game high three runs for Pierre while George Stalley and Brecken Krueger each had two RBI. Jonny Lyons had three of Pierre’s nine hits while both Gary Nedved and Krueger each had two. Krueger picked up the win on the mound going five innings, allowing just six hits, four runs only one earned and one walk. Coming into the game, Krueger had just three strikeouts in 18 innings. In five innings, he struck out seven. Lyons finished out the job with the final two innings on the mound.
