Pierre Post 8 Goes 2-0 in Minot Tournament Pool Play

Pierre Post 8 would win its only game of the day on Saturday with a 10-4 victory over the Billings Expos to go 2-0 in pool play.

Pierre scored a run in the first, second and third innings before adding two in the fifth, one in the sixth and then four in the seventh as they lead from start to finish in its second straight win in Minot. Matthew Hanson went 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI as Pierre would mash four doubles in total in its nine hits. Hanson along with Bennett Dean and Gary Nedved would each pick up two RBI as Isaac Polak had an RBI single to drive in seven of the 10 runs in total. Grayson Hunsley went the distance on the mound on just 85 pitches allowing just eights, four runs, two earned with one strikeout.

Pierre will play in the semifinals on Sunday. As of the posting of the story the time has not been decided but it will be at either 10:45 AM on Capital City Rock or 1:00 on KCCR. Either time, it will still be on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
