The Pierre Trappers are on the road for just two more games before a week long home stand as tonight they begin a two game stint in Minot, North Dakota against the Expedition League’s best team, the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs.
The Sabre Dogs have won 16 in a row heading into the series as they stand at 20-1 on the year and have a 12 game lead over the Red River Pilots for second place in the league. Pierre is currently at 7-15, two games back of the Red River Pilots for second place. Pierre will be looking to put an end to the winning streak tonight and take a couple of games against the Sabre Dogs to start its climb up the standings.
First pitch from Corbett Field in Minot is scheduled for 6:35.
