The Pierre Trappers have dropped five straight, all to Souris Valley as the Sabre Dogs were able to shutout the Trappers on Wednesday in Minot to close the series with a 7-0 win.
Pierre drops to 4-8 on the season and while the Sabre Dogs have won six in a row and are now 10-1 on the season. They seem to be the cream of the crop of the Expedition League, but the Trappers will return to Pierre to try and snap their winning streak as they face the Sabre Dogs for just a single game at Hyde Stadium on Thursday.
First pitch is at 7:05. Pierre will travel to North Iowa again on Friday for a weekend series on the road.
