Tuesday night the Eights Senior Legion will play its home opener as the Mandan Chiefs will come to town. It’s also the Hometown Hero Night as Post 8 will honor Greg Dean and his family for the contributions the Dean family has made over the many years for baseball.
Post 8 has won its last three games and is 3-4 on the season also picking up a South Dakota win on Sunday over Sturgis. The Eights will have three games this weekend against non-South Dakota teams with its first two against Mandan tonight. Pierre will see the Chiefs in Mandan at the end of the month before potentially playing them again in the Minot tournament on the same weekend. Manager Brian White says it’s good to be at home…

First pitch is at 5:00 with coverage starting at 4:45 on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports. KCCR will broadcast the Hometown Hero presentation on both the radio and on YouTube if you’re unable to attend.
