Rain Shortens Day as Titze Sits Second

Lightning was in the area before the final golfers were able to finish the day as the first day was cut short in Class B boys state tournament but Cooper Logan of Garretson is leading with a two over through 15 holes. Stanley County’s Daysen Titze is tied for second. The golfers will finish the first day in the morning and then the Activities Association will make a call on the weather to continue playing the tournament or not.

Logan is leading by two shots but still has three holes left in his day one competition. Titze went through just 16 holes and remains just two behind Logan for first place. Titze eagled hole 11 and birdied on 15 before parring the 16th and his day coming to an end. Sully Buttes’ Gavin Colson shot an 83 while Thomas Farries is at 14 over 73 through 15 holes and Wesley Wittler is at 77 through 16 on day one.

Titze will have his final three holes to try and catch Logan who will have four left. Golfers will tee off at 9:00 Central Time.
