Pierre Post 8 dropped its second straight game on Friday at the Veteran’s Classic as they were no-hit by the Cheyenne Sixers in a 9-0 loss.
Pierre had just two base runners in the game as Bennett Dean reached on an error and Conner Bruce was hit by pitch, but Dean was the only one left stranded as Bradley Feezer faced one above the minimum in the five inning, no hit win. Spencer Easland took the loss on the mound, but only allowing three earned runs of the nine allowed in the game. Jonny Lyons had a perfect inning in relief in the bottom of the fourth.
The Eights will face Post 400 Fargo and Bellevue, Nebraska on Saturday for the final two pool play games. First pitch against Fargo is at 4:00 Central Time with the second game to follow on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
