The Pierre Trappers have their second win of the season and also its second straight series opening win as they spoil the North Iowa Ragin’ Roosters first ever home game with an 11-1 stomping.
Kaleb Hay made his second start of the young season for Pierre as he had another excellent outing on the mound as he struck out eight in a complete game effort. He had plenty of offense, just like he did in the opening day win last Thursday as the Trappers put up 11 runs including two homeruns. Antony Barraza and Noah McCreary each had a big fly for Pierre as they put an end to a three game skid.
The Trappers are now 2-4 on the season while the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs have jumped out to a 4-0 record sweeping the Red River Pilots in the first series of the year. Pierre will be back at it again on Wednesday as they look for back-to-back wins over the Ragin’ Roosters. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 at Bancroft Memorial Park.
