PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission again has a light agenda as the month of May wraps up. Commissioners will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar. Included on the calendar are the claims and meeting minutes from the May 24th meeting along with a new seasonal hire in the Water Department and a raffle request for the Pierre Outdoor Pool project. Commissioners will consider approval of a bid for a plow truck for the airport and will set a public hearing and give first reading to a rezoning request. That request is to rezone a parcel from Agricultural to Heavy Industrial for parcels adjacent to the city’s yard waste and recycling operations. The Commission will also consider a request to declare an emergency and purchase a replacement scale for the baling facility. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM.
