After a series opening win on Thursday the Pierre Trappers fell in the final three games of the series, 9-8 on Friday, 5-2 on Saturday and 7-4 on Sunday.
Pierre held the lead on Friday’s game heading into the late innings thanks to the dominant performance from Pierre’s own Jack Van Camp. Van Camp went six innings allowing just two runs including five shutout innings to begin the game. Pierre allowed four runs in the ninth inning to give the Ragin’ Roosters a 9-6 lead before scoring twice in the ninth inning but falling short on Friday. Saturday’s game was cut short in the eighth inning due to weather and North Iowa led the entire way on Sunday in its third straight win taking the opening series 3-1.
