The Pierre Trappers took advantage of walks and hit by pitches in the opening day game against the North Iowa Ragin’ Roosters and would win 13-4.
The Trappers were outhit in the ballgame 11-7, but part of it was because the Trappers didn’t get a many chances to hit. Pierre drew plenty walks and advanced because of passed balls as the Ragin Rooster’s pitching staff couldn’t find the plate most of the night.
Pierre will look for a second win tonight with first pitch at Hyde Stadium at 7:05. Saturday’s game will be at 7:05 and Sunday’s will be at 5:35.
