Region 2B Track and Field Results

The Region 2B Track and Field took place on Wednesday in Gettysburg. The Miller girls took home first place while the Ipswich boys won the meet.

Sully Buttes

For the Sully Buttes Chargers, Stevie Wittler took home first place in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles while Lydia Hill was both first in the shot put and discus throws. Addison Chicoine was second in the shot put throw, right behind Hill and the team of Wittler, Tahnie Yellow Hawk, Olivia Olson and Courtnie Weinheimer finished second in both the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races. On the boys side, Griffin Petterson had a couple of second place finishes, in the 800 and 1600 meter runs. Collin Bradberry was third in the 100 and 200 meter runs while also placing second in the sprint medley relay race along with Teghan Westphal, Gavin Barber and Landon Hepker. Jesse and Jordan Schall were second and third in the shot put throw while also placing fourth and fifth in the discus.

Potter County

The Potter County Battlers had wins from Emma Schlacther in the 800 meter and Peyton Stevens in the 3200 meter runs. Makaivry Schatz also was first in the pole vault, the team of Schlachter, Dannika Kaup, Rayel Persoon, and Kristie Lake won the 4×800 relay and then Taylyn Rausch, Kayden Cronin, Kaup and Lake won the sprint medley relay race. Carter Luikens won the 400 meter run with a new PR while Nicholas Schlachter won the 3200 meter run for the Battlers.

Miller

The Miller Rustlers had a total of 10 wins on the day with seven coming from the girls side. Morgan Kolda won the 100 meters setting a new PR, Ally Mullaney in the 200 meter, Gracen Werdel in the 400 meters and Patricia Lammers in the long jump and high jump. Tyra Gates, Mullaney, Kolda and Werdel took home first in the both the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races. Alex Schumacher in the boys won the 1600 meter run while the team of Kellan Hurd, Joseph Baker, Schumacher and Trevor Werdel won the 4×400 relay and Noah Johnson won the shot put.

Highmore-Harrold

Autumn Fallis won the lone event of the day for the Highmore-Harrold Pirates on the girls side as she won the 1600 meter run. Peyton McDonnel, Tate Hoffman, Cody and Grady Aasby won the 4×100 relay race for the only win of the day for the Pirates on the boys side.
