PIERRE — The Pierre Area Chamber has put another new piece back in their puzzle as they continue a staff rebuilding. Chamber C-E-O Tia Kafka says Micah Palmer has been selected as Director of Tourism and Marketing for the Chamber. Palmer was selected for the role from a pool of what Kafka calls very qualified candidates for the position. Palmer has been Marketing and Social Media Manager at Maxwell Strategies in Pierre since 2020. Kafka says Palmer will make an excellent addition to the Chamber team and that her experience in communications, social media and digital marketing will be used to explore opportunities to bring visitors to the area. Palmer joins Clarissia Drefts, who will join the Pierre Chamber as Director of Programs and Events next week on May 23rd. Palmer begins two days later on May 25th
