The Sully Buttes Chargers, Miller Rustlers, Highmore-Harrold Pirates all competed in Gettysburg as the Potter County Battlers hosted the Central South Dakota Conference Meet on Saturday.
For the Sully Buttes Chargers, Stevie Wittler won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles with Olivia Olson finishing fourth in the 100 hurdles and second in the 300. Wittler, Olson, Tahnie Yellowhawk and Courtnie Weinheimer teamed up to place second in the 4×100 and 4×200 relay races. Lydia Hill won both the shot put and discus throws while Addison Chicoine was fourth in both events. For the boys side, Jordan Schall was second in the shot put and fourth in the discus while Jesse Schall was third in both events. Collin Bradbury was fifth in the 100 meters while Bradbury, Gavin Barber, Teghan Westphal and Griffin Peterson were fourth in the 4×200 relay team. Westphal, Jordan Schall, Barber and Bradubry were fifth in the 4×100 race and in the sprint medley relay, Bradberry, Westphal Barber and Peterson placed second.
For the Potter County Battlers, Emma Schlachter won the 800 meter run while Rayel Persoon, Peyton Stevens, Jadyn Ahlemeier and Tori Crook won the 4×800 relay race and Makaivry Schatz won the pole vault. Nicholas Schlachter won the 3200 meter run on the boys side while Tanner Vandervorst was second in the pole vault and Landon Larson was fifth in the triple jump.
The Highmore-Harrold Pirates had its lone win from Grady Aasby in the 400 meter run. Trey Knox was third in the high jump and on the girls side, Autumn Fallis was second in the 1600 meter run and Emilee Schied was second I nthe shot put while Letha Jessen was third in the 100 meter hurdle and Maddie Knox, Grace Knox, April Fallis and Autumn Fallis were third in the 4×800 relay race.
The Miller Rustlers had seven event wins on the day as the boys took home first in the shot put with Noah Jonson, Alex Schumacher in the 1600 meter run and Dylan Hass on the 100 meter run. Hass, Colby Kolda, Andrew Knox and Trevor Werdel were first in the 4×100 relay race. Morgan Kolda won the girls triple jump and 100 meter run. Kolda also won first place in the 4×100 relay race teaming up with Tyra Gates, Patricia Lammers and Jaden Werdel.
