The Pierre Governors, now back to .500, will have four games over the weekend as they host the O’Gorman Knights on Friday and the Roosevelt Roughriders on Saturday.
Pierre managed its way through the first three days and five games of the busy week and came out 3-2 to begin the week and now will be looking for a potential four wins to finish the week with seven total wins and grab plenty of seed points, especially with Roosevelt as they sit atop the Class A standings.
O’Gorman is much improved over the last couple of weeks. The Knights started the Class A season at 0-6 before rattling off four wins in a row and starting a climb up the standings. Pierre beat O’Gorman last year in Sioux Falls.
Both doubleheaders will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with coverage beginning at 4:40 today and first pitch at 5:00 and then on Saturday with coverage at 11:40 AM and first pitch at 12:00.
