The Pierre Girls Golf team started their busy two days with a seventh place finish as a team in Huron shooting a plus 64, 15 shots off Aberdeen Central for the win.
Haley Nadeau had the top finish for the Governors as she was tied for eighth shooting 11 over par, 83, nine shots off O’Gorman’s Emily Kolb for the individual day win. Ellie Jo Simpson finished in 20th place with a 88 while Hadley Hart was at 17 over 89 and Andrea Mosteller was tied for 26th at 20 over, 92 to round out the scoring for the Governors. Hattie Bldwin shot a 94 and Madilyn Brakke a 96. Nadeau had the only birdie on the day for Pierre as she birdied par four, hole 15.
The Governors will travel to Yankton on Friday for their second in a back to back.
