April Best Month Yet For Enplanements From Pierre Regional Airport

Travel in the first four months of 2021 was still rebounding from a severe cut in air travel brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. January of 2021 saw 469 enplanements, while this January saw 978. February ’21 was 567 compared to February ’22 at 999. Last March, enplanements were at 784 while this year, March had 1,249 enplanement. April of last year compared to April of this year was 964 to 1251 or 287 more this April than last. A total 4,477 enplanements have been logged in 2022. By this time last year only 2,784 people had flown from Pierre Regional. Watertown Regional Airport did slightly better with Denver Air carrying 1,292 April passengers or 41 more enplanements. Total enplanements at Watertown so far this year are 4,611 or 134 more passengers that Pierre.
