The Pierre Governor Tennis team, after a loss to the Brandon Valley Lynx on Thursday, will be in Mitchell Monday for a quadrangular to face the Kernels, Vermillion and Yankton.
The Governors had a streak of six straight dual wins before the loss to Brandon Valley but are still 7-6 on the season and remain at 4-1 against Class A teams. Pierre’s only loss in Class A came to Mitchell on the season opening dual. Mitchell is currently 6-2 on the season while Vermillion is looking for its first dual win of the season and the Yankton Bucks are 15-1 on the year. It’s the first meeting against both Yankton and Vermillion for the Governors.
The quad is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM as the Govs face Mitchell followed by Vermillion and then Yankton all at Hitchcock Park in Mitchell.
