Protexter says 236 rental units were brought into the Pierre area housing inventory because of the previous study. The study, which is an update to the 2012 study, will cost 18-thousand dollars. That cost will be split between PEDCO, Pierre and Fort Pierre. The Pierre City Commission approved five-thousand dollars for the study Tuesday night.
