Pierre Baseball Travels to Sioux Falls for Final Road Contests of Season

The Pierre Governor baseball team last played on Saturday April 9 and this weekend they look to resume their schedule as they travel to Sioux Falls to face both Lincoln and Washington in doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.

The Governors are still at 3-3 on the season and still are looking to get off the three game skid. The Govs were unable to get on the field on either Friday and Saturday due to high wind and cold temperature. So as it’s been two weeks since the last game, head coach of the Pierre Governors, Steve Gray says it’s time to play some baseball again…

One of the challenges of having two weeks in between games is keeping pitchers’ arms in shape and Gray says they put a plan in place over the last week…

As Pierre has lost a total of three games so far this season, and wanting to end the small losing streak, Gray says it’s important to start strong this weekend…

The Governors will face Lincoln on Friday at 5:00 in a doubleheader and 1:00 on Saturday against Washington at Harmadon Park. All four games, weather pending will be on KCCR and on YouTube at KCCR Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
