PIERRE — A number of area road projects will require drivers to pay attention and be ready for changes. The eastbound left lane of Highway 14/83/34 over the Missouri River will be closed so crews can prepare to pour concrete for the fourth drilled shaft on the bridge. The eastbound side will be down to one lane through Friday with flaggers on the bike path under the bridge. Morris Incorporated will resume work on Highland Avenue starting Monday. Highland will be closed from Wynoka Street to Second Street with the work expected to last to the start of July. Motorist should consider alternate routes for Highland. Alternate routes are also encouraged for those who use Highway 1806 over the emergency spillway. A-G-E will have 1806 closed at the spillway starting Monday and lasting through next Saturday April 30th. Motorists are advised to detour the area on Cut Across Road.
