The process to see if a cannabis operation would work in Fort Pierre started approximately eight months ago. Bad River Cannabis will be a dispensary and grow facility at their location just south of Stanley Avenue on Salebarn Road. According to a State of South Dakota website, Fort Pierre has two certified dispensaries; Bad River Cannabis and Black Hills Cannabis Care. The only certified cultivator in Fort Pierre as of now is Bad River Cannabis. A certified cultivation operation under the name Five Mile High is located in Lyman County.
