A longer break than expected for the Pierre Governor track and field team, but today they resume activities as they travel to Rapid City for Track-O-Rama.
The Governors will have a busy week this week as they compete three times in four days. Pierre will also be in Onida on Thursday for the Charger Invite and then back at home on Friday for the American Legion Relays.
The Track-O-Rama is now the Track-O-Rama Nation as a total of 32 schools will now be competing as the Track Nation was on the schedule for the same day. Seven of the 32 teams, including Pierre, will be from AA. Seven teams from Wyoming and Dickinson, North Dakota will join the huge event for the day. With the long break, you can almost cut the season into the halfway point and the second half starts today. Starr says in the first half he’s been impressed with the will to compete and also been impressed starting with the relay teams…
The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM Central Time with the field events and the track events to begin at 11:00 AM.
