PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will get an update on progress with the Run with the Gov’s Event in special business before considering a busy nine-item consent calendar. The calendar includes six human resource items including the official naming of Jordan Steiner as the Superintendent of Hillsview Golf Course. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:45 pm for a retail on/off-sale malt beverage license transfer from the Oahe Softball Association to Sheri Lappe, doing business as The Dugout. Commissioners will consider summer recreation programs and fees and will get an update on the annual Go Green and Clean Campaign. The Commission will consider two lease renewals for hangar space at Pierre Regional Airport and a request to bid for an Airport plow truck. Also on the agenda is an amendment to the conditional use permit with Hughes County for the landfill and implementing terms and conditions of a contract with the city’s electrical workers union.
