The Pierre Governors won’t be able to get back on track this weekend as both days will not be played. However, the game on Friday is canceled, but the game on Saturday is postponed.
The Governors were scheduled to travel to Mitchell on Friday, but the temperatures and the wind are still playing a factor in the game being played. Friday’s doubleheader is canceled and the game will not be made up. The season moves quickly, there’s not enough time to find an open date to reschedule. The Kernels head into the Easter break at 5-1 in South Dakota games.
Saturday’s games against Brookings have been postponed as they will now be played on Tuesday, May 10. Games times are yet to be determined. Brookings will remain at 3-1 through the weekend as the Governors will remain at 3-3.
