PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Two items of special business begin tonight’s meeting. The City of Pierre Electric Department will receive the American Public Power Association Excellence in Reliability award and a proclamation will be made for Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Commissioners will consider a request to surplus and sell by sealed bid a bank of electric meters and a petition for curbside sidewalk at 215 East 8th Street. The Commission will consider a professional services contract with Broz Engineering for the second season of Airport Road Reconstruction and a change order for the wastewater plant redesign project. Also on the agenda is a resolution adopting the 2021 Hazard Mitigation plan and considering employee incentive pay. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
