Pierre Trappers Announce Schedule for 2022

The 2022 Pierre Trappers scheduled was released this past weekend about two weeks after the Trappers have hired its new GM, John Hunt.

The Expedition League will feature five teams this year. The Trappers, Sioux Falls Sunfish and Souris Valley Sabre Dogs return for the 2022 season while the Red River Pilots will begin its first season in Grand Forks and a new team on the schedule, the North Iowa Ragin’ Roosters. There is currently no info on the expedition league website on the Ragin’ Roosters but the Trappers’ first road games will be at North Iowa on May 31.

The season opens on Thursday, May 26 as the Trappers will host the Sioux Falls Sunfish for a four game series before having its first off day on Memorial Day and then returning to action on the road on Tuesday. For the first time ever this year, the Trappers will be hosting the All-Star game as Hyde Stadium will be full of Expedition League All-Stars on Sunday, July 17. Pierre will have its longest home stand July 23-29 which will be six games over seven days. The Trappers longest road stretch will span 10 days traveling to Grand Forks, Sioux Falls and North Iowa. The season will conclude on August 1-3 with a home stand against North Iowa.
