The Pierre Governors competed at the Huron Track Invite on Friday as the Governors won a total of three events on the afternoon.
Danielle Beck won the 300 meter hurdles while the boys team had two relay wins in the 4×100 and 4×200. Cole Peterson, Brock Moser, Tucker Putzier and Caden Thompson were a part of the 4×100 team while Peterson, Putzier, Thompson and Lance Bertram made up the 4×200 team.
Pierre also had plenty of second place finished as Putzier was second in the 200 meters while Jared Lutmer placed second in the 3200 meter run. Jack Merkwan was also second in the 300 meter hurdles and Canyon Jones was second in the pole vault.
On the girls side Kali Ringstmeyer was second in the 200 meters, Addison Cumbow in the 100 meter hurdles, Lily Sanches in the high jump, Marissa Mathews in the pole vault and Aleise Christopherson in the triple jump. The 4×200 relay team of Ringstmeyer, Miara Tafoya, Nevaeh Baade and Christopherson placed second.
