Pierre Splits Home Triangular with Mitchell and Rapid City Central

After over three hours of a rain delay, the Pierre tennis team opened the season at home with an 8-1 loss to the Mitchell Kernels and a 9-0 win over Rapid City Central.

Matthew Hanson was the lone Governor to win his match against the Mitchell Kernels in flight one, as he went 3-1 splitting his flight one doubles match with partner Blake Judson. Judson, Matyas Pribal, Luke Leingang, Spencer Kelly and Carter Schulz all split their singles matches as Pribal and Leingang were doubles two partners splitting to the two decisions as did Kelly and Crew Heier in doubles three for the Governors.

Pierre will travel out to Huron on Saturday for a quadrangular as they will face Sioux Falls Lincoln, Watertown and Huron. The quad will begin at 10:00 at the Huron Tennis Courts.
