Pierre Shows Out at Bob Judson Invite

There wasn’t much waiting around on Tuesday as the Bob Judson Invite started only 30 minutes later than scheduled because of the weather. The Pierre Governors on both the boys and girls side still had excellent days winning a total of 24 events.

Those winners for the Pierre Governors, Tucker Putzier won the 100 meter run while Peterson won the 200 meter run and Hayden Shaffer won the 800 meter run. Jack Merkwan swept the hurdles with wins at 110 and 300. The Govs won every relay race at 4×100, 4×200, 4×400 and 4×800. Braedon Foster won the discus throw while Aaron Campbell won the javelin throw. Andrew Campea won the high jump and Canyon Jones won the pole vault for Pierre.

On the girls side, Kali Ringstmeyer won the 100 and 200 meter runs as Autumn Iverson won the 400 meters as Addison Cumbow won the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles went to Danielle Beck. Pierre won the 4×100 and 4×400 relay races. Jenna Bucholz won the javelin throw in the field events as Lily Sanchez won the high jump, Marissa Matthews the pole vault and Aleise Christopherson won the long jump and the triple jump.

Sully Buttes

For the Sully Buttes Chargers, Jesse Schall won the shot put followed by brother Jordan Schall. The two went three and four respectively in the discus throw. Griffin Peterson was second in the 1600 meter run while also placing third in the 800 meter run. Landon Hepker finished in seventh in the same race.

Lydia Hill won both the shot put and discus throw for the Chargers as Addison Chicoine was sixth in the shot put and third in the discus. Stevie Wittler finished second in the 300 meter hurdles as Olivia Olson was fourth in the 100 hurdles. Courtnie Weinheimer was fifth in the 100 meter dash.

Stanley County

The Stanley County Buffaloes saw Fredericksen Andrew win the 400 meter run as Cormac Duffy won both the triple jump and the long jump. Barret Schweitzer was fourth in the javelin throw. Colt Norman and Tyson Peterson finished three and four in the 1600 meter run while Brendon Bothwell was fourth in the 400 meters.

Kaysen Magee had the best finish for the Lady Buffaloes as she was second in the 800 meters and 1600 meter runs. Carlie O’Conner was fifth in the shot put and Raegan Taylor was ninth in the long jump.

Potter County

Nicholas Schlachter won both the 1600 meter and 3200 meter run for the Potter County Battlers while Emma Schlachter won the 800 meter run and Peyton Stevens won both the 1600 meters and the 3200 meter runs. Makaivry Schatz was second in the pole vault for the Battlers.
