PIERRE — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a liquor license followed by consideration of a property tax abatement and an update on predator control from the Game, Fish and Parks Department. Commissioners will consider adoption of the hazard mitigation plan and four items tied to a bridge replacement. A highway update and an alternative H-R training program are on the agenda. Commissioners will also consider on call emergency management, personnel, investments, care-of-the-poor surplus equipment and will discuss carbon dioxide pipelines. Hughes County announced Friday consideration of a haul road agreement for the North Bend Wind Farm will be postponed due to the issues with the agreement that recently came up.
