Spring Sports always move the fastest out of the school year and the track season is no different. Today marks the start of the track and field season for the Pierre Governors as they travel to Brookings for the Ruth Marske Invitational.
Pierre is one of nine AA teams participating in the invitational with a total of 17 high schools including five out of state schools which will be there. While it is the beginning of the track and field season, it’s the indoor event to start the year at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex. Head Coach of the Pierre Governors, Greg Starr says there’s not a big difference between competing at outdoor events compared to this indoor event…
The numbers again for Pierre are continuing to grow and Starr says it’s always a good thing…
