The renovation should be completed in about 18 months. Once construction fencing is in place work will begin by tearing up the parking lot and starting with some plumbing work and footings for the new structures. Buchanan is home to approximately 430 students. The public is also being reminded that the construction will cause a change in traffic and pedestrian flows on Capital Avenue near Buchanan and drivers should be extra alert for walking students and traffic changes near the school.
