Neuharth Family Honored By Legislature For Leopold Conservation Award

PIERRE — A Stanley County family was recognized by the South Dakota legislature last week for its work in promoting land conservation in farming. Senate Commemoration 808 recognized Prairie Paradise Farms and the Levi and Crystal Neuharth family for winning the 2021 Leopold Conservation Award. The Neuharth family visited the Capitol in person, attending floor sessions and the House and Senate Ag and Natural Resource Committees. After playing a video for the House Committee, the oldest Neuharth child, Jonathon gave a presentation to the Committee…

The presentation struck a chord with Representative Charlie Hoffman…

Representative Caleb Finck was particularly impressed with young Jonathon’s presentation…

The Commemoration was supported by the District 24 legislators. During the first Saturday in May, the Neuharths will host their Family Farm Day at Prairie Paradise Farms located six miles east of Hayes.
