Sully Buttes and Faith Square off in SoDak 16

Tonight the Sully Buttes Chargers can clinch a berth into the Class B state tournament as they travel to Mobridge to face the Faith Longhorns in the SoDak 16.

The Lady Longhorns come into the SoDak 16 at 17-5 on the year and have won 11 of the last 13 games. Faith beat Tiospaye Topa handily in its first game of the region tournament but then had to squeak by Harding County in the SoDak 16 qualifying game winning 39-38. The Chargers though, are playing its best basketball right now having won four in a row and 12 of the last 14 games. Sully Buttes defeated rival Highmore-Harrold to qualify for the SoDak 16 on Saturday with a nine point win. Sully Buttes at 18-4 are still the underdog in terms of seeding as they face the seven seed.

A win for the Chargers will put them into the Class B state tournament beginning next Thursday in Watertown.
