Saturday the season will end for the Pierre basketball teams as they take on the Roosevelt Roughriders as the girls will host and the boys will travel.
The Governor boys are in need of a win to get to .500 and a win over Roosevelt will lead to 50 points added on to their seed point total. The Roughriders remain undefeated on the season and the Govs look to be the team to knock them off. Pierre will look for better energy to begin the game on Saturday than on Tuesday.
The Governor girls can reach the .500 mark with a win over Roosevelt who has just one win on the season. Pierre has won three in a row and now six of seven trying to close out the regular season on a strong note and be one of the eight teams to host a SoDak 16 contest.
Tipoff of the varsity games will be in Pierre at 2:00 for the girls and 4:00 in Roosevelt for the boys.
